How to split a PDF
- Add the PDF. Drop the PDF you want to split onto the tool or browse for it.
- Choose how to split. Pick the pages or ranges to extract — for example pages 1–3 as one file and 4–10 as another.
- Split. Generate the resulting file or files locally.
- Download. Save the split output to your device.
Splitting is useful when a scanner or export bundled everything into one long PDF and you only need part of it — a single statement out of a year's worth, or one form from a packet.
You can define ranges to produce multiple output files in one pass, or extract just the pages you need. The tool works page-for-page, so nothing is re-encoded and the extracted pages are identical to the source.
When you instead want to recombine files, use Merge; to drop or reorder pages in place, use Organize; and to pull just the embedded pictures out of a PDF, use Extract images.
