### What is a FIRE number?

A common rule of thumb is 25× your annual spending (the inverse of a 4% withdrawal rate). Enter your spending and the tool shows that target, which you can adjust to your own assumptions.

### Does it account for inflation?

Yes. You can enter an inflation rate so the projection is shown in today's purchasing power rather than nominal future dollars.

### Is this financial advice?
