Filling a PDF form should be as simple as typing into the boxes — no printing, scanning, or emailing a document to a service. This tool completes the standard AcroForm fields directly and, if you flatten, locks your answers into the page.

If the PDF doesn't have fillable fields yet, add them with Create PDF form fields first. To add a signature, use Sign.

## How to

1. **Open the form.** Drop a PDF that contains fillable fields.
2. **Fill it in.** Enter text and toggle checkboxes, dropdowns, and radios.
3. **Flatten & save.** Optionally bake in the values, then download.

### What field types are supported?

Text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns, radio groups, and option lists where pdf-lib supports them; other widget types are shown as read-only.

### Should I flatten before sharing?

Flattening bakes your answers into the page so they can't be changed and display the same in every reader — useful for final submissions.

### Is my form data uploaded?

No. Field values are written into the PDF in your browser, so the completed form never leaves your device.
