# Common port reference — no upload

> A searchable reference of common TCP/UDP ports and the services that use them (HTTP, SSH, DNS, and more). Runs in your browser, nothing fetched.

Look up well-known TCP and UDP ports and the services that use them — 22 for SSH, 443 for HTTPS, 53 for DNS, and more — in a built-in reference. Nothing is fetched.

Configuring firewalls, servers, and connections constantly requires the right port number. A quick reference beats searching, especially for the less-common services.

For calculating network ranges around those services, use the CIDR/subnet calculator; for parsing addresses, the IP converter.

## How to

1. **Search.** Type a port number or a service name.
2. **Read the match.** See the service and protocol for that port.
3. **Apply it.** Use it when configuring firewalls or services.

## FAQ

### What port does SSH use?

22 by default (TCP). The reference covers the other common ones — 80/443 for web, 53 for DNS, 3306 for MySQL — so you don't have to memorize them.

### What's the difference between well-known and ephemeral ports?

Well-known ports (0–1023) are assigned to standard services; ephemeral ports are temporary ones the OS assigns to client connections.

### Is anything fetched?

No. The list is built in and works offline.
